Thoughts on making Stormforge

General / 24 July 2020

Since getting my new tablet, I wanted to start making something that incorporated z-brush straight away, and Stormforge was the result of that. Probably the most difficult aspect for me was creating the patterns on the blade, but once I started going, I didn’t stop. Overall, I’m really satisfied with how Stormforge turned out, but looking at it now, there more I couldve done. As for naming convention, I literally just turned to a name generator.

Im really loving this new tablet. It opens up so many options and makes my life a whole lot easier. I can create more finer details and really start to put more life into my work. But theres still more to improve on, especially my planning out stage.

Start of being more professional and serious

General / 19 July 2020

First blog post, kind of a new thing for me and I doubt people actually read what's on these but I guess I can use it to document the progress I've made since graduating college.

I've recently started taking steps towards being more professional as the need to find a real job looms closer. I've since bought a domain name, which is something I never thought I would have, as well as buying a new screen tablet off Amazon. Worthy investment as it will help me improve my work drastically. Obviously its gonna take lots of practice but I know this will be good for me. Adding in more detail will just push the quality of my work much further.
